Why I’m Now Offering Immigration Psychological Evaluations for Families
After 22 years of working closely with children and families in Lindenwold, NJ, I’ve seen the impact that fear, separation, and uncertainty can have on a family’s mental health—especially immigrant families navigating the legal system.
That’s why I’ve made the decision to offer immigration psychological evaluations as part of my practice at Grounded Growth Therapy. These evaluations provide essential documentation for hardship waivers, asylum cases, VAWA petitions, and other immigration proceedings. But more than that, they give voice to the emotional and psychological realities that families face when their future in this country is at risk.
I’ve worked with countless families who are deeply rooted in our community—raising children, contributing to local schools, building lives—and who now face the possibility of being torn apart. As a licensed therapist, I want to use my training and clinical insight to support them in a way that’s both compassionate and effective.
The current climate has made it harder for families to feel safe. I want to change that, one evaluation at a time.
If you or someone you know is in need of a hardship evaluation or psychological report for immigration, please reach out. I offer a respectful, trauma-informed process, and I work closely with attorneys to ensure the evaluation is thorough, timely, and helpful to your case.
